Self-Care Project: Community Chat
The Self-Care Project was developed in June, 2017 by five local Te Anau women promoting health and wellness in the region:
Casey Brown: Personal Trainer/Exercise Specialist
Rachael Brown: Message Therapy, Reiki Practitioner
Kerri-Anne Edge Hill: Therapeutic Yoga Practitioner
Tammy Magness: Yoga and Mindfulness Practitioner; counsellor-in-training
Sam McBride: Functional Medicine Health Coach
Our intention is to offer information and wellness practices that foster connection, awareness and general wellbeing.
The community chat will take place each month, bringing community together around a central topic or theme. The offering will be led by a member of the Self-Care Project and the topic/theme will be announced each month. While there may be a presentation to introduce the topic, the time spent will largely focus on a group discussion - asking questions and sharing experiences.
A COMMUNITY CONVERSATION with Tammy
What moves you? What are your concerns/interests/hobbies? What are the needs - as you see them - within our community? These are topics that we, as a community, can consider in a Community Chat group. The discussion will follow the lead of the participants.
