Introduction to Creative Journalling

This course isn't just about beautiful books or flawless poetry. Unlock your creativity and tap into your unique experiences through observation, active listening, and fearless experimentation.
An opportunity to begin a creative journal as an outlet for your thoughts and for calming your mind in a safe and non-judgmental space. You will be guided on how to incorporate daily journaling practices that build on mindfulness and provide a special memory that can be reflected upon later and continued.
This workshop is funded by a Connecting Communities Grant via Te Hau Toka Southern Lakes Wellbeing Group with support from Kerri-Anne at Flourish.
A $30 materials fee is required to book a spot. Places are limited to ten participants.

Donna Coleman-Smith, originally from Te Taitokerau Northland, is a teacher based in North Otago. She runs creative journalling groups and courses that combine informal writing and art methods designed to slow down the pace and give an opportunity for reflection and mindfulness. Art therapist - Kat Taiaroa of Dunedin - sparked Donna's love for journalling, and she continues to be a highly regarded mentor. Donna has used journalling to overcome personal hurdles and provides a safe, empathetic space for participants. |
